Private Allan Duncan joined Able Company after the Tinian campaign. He served in one of the platoons as a rifleman.

Duncan was wounded on February 20, 1945, but returned to the company three days later. The picture below was taken by a Marine Corps photographer as Able Company was being relieved from combat at the Meat Grinder.

Duncan was discharged as a Private First Class and returned to Nashville after the war. He died in 1999 and is buried in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
