Weston Burns was born in Framingham, Massachusetts, in 1927. He joined Able Company as a replacement after the Tinian campaign.
Burns fought as a machine gunner in the battle of Iwo Jima; he survived unwounded and stayed with the Marines after the war. Upon his discharge during the Korean war, Burns held the rank of corporal.
Weston Burns died in Boston in 1983. He is buried in Southborough Rural Cemetery, Southborough, Massachusetts.
