Otto Becker was an original member of Baker Company. He served as a machine gunner in the company's weapons platoon. He received a promotion to Private First Class on January 11, 1944, and departed for combat on Namur two days later.

Becker was wounded on his first day of combat, and was evacuated to a navy hospital. He recovered sufficiently to rejoin his company at Maui, and remained a machine gunner with the newly-formed MG platoon.

Otto Becker was killed on June 15, 1944, on the first day of the battle of Saipan. He was buried in Plot 2, Row 3, Grave 204 of the Fourth Marine Division Cemtery.
