Frank Boggs was an original member of Baker Company, 24th Marines. He served as a fire team leader in one of the rifle platoons.

Boggs was killed on his division's first day of combat. He was shot multiple times in the head and body.

PFC Boggs was buried in Grave 116, Plot 2, Row 5 of the Pauline Point Cemetery on the island of Namur. After the war, he was reburied in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Plot C, Grave 312.
