Harold Caudill was one of the original members of Baker Company. He was rated a corporal at the end of 1943, and led a fire team in one of the rifle platoons.

Caudill fought through the battle of Namur, and was promoted to sergeant while stationed at Camp Maui.

He was badly wounded shortly after landing on Saipan on June 15, 1944, and was evacuated. Sergeant Caudill was hospitalized, and never returned to the battalion.
