Edward Chepulis joined Baker Company in the fall of 1944. He served as a BAR gunner in one of the rifle platoons.
Chepulis was wounded on March 4, 1945, during the battle of Iwo Jima. He had celebrated his nineteenth birthday less than a week before. PFC Chepulis was evacuated, and did not return to combat.
He died in 2002, and is buried in Pinehaven Cemetery, Burlington, MA.
