With Dog Company:

Timothy Colgan was an original member of Dog Company, 24th Marines. He served as an ammunition carrier with the Second Machine Gun Platoon during the battle of Namur; in March, 1944 he was transferred to Baker Company.

With Baker Company:

Colgan was re-trained as a rifleman and served with one of the three rifle platoons. He was killed in action on Saipan on June 17, 1944.

PFC Colgan was buried in Plot 3, Row 4, Grave 497 of the Fourth Marine Division Cemetery.
