William O'Connor was one of the original members of Dog Company. He was a gunner with the Second Machine Gun Platoon.
O'Connor fought in the battle of Namur, and was transferred to Baker Company in March, 1944.
With Baker Company:
PFC O'Connor stayed with the machine guns through the spring of 1944. He was wounded and evacuated from Saipan on June 15, 1944, and did not return to the battalion.
