With Dog Company:

Private Ralph Brown was an original member of Dog Company's second platoon. He carried ammunition for a heavy machine gun. Brown served through the battle of Namur, received a promotion to Private First Class, and was transferred to Baker Company in March, 1944.

With Baker Company:

Brown continued to fight as an ammo carrier through the battle of Saipan. He was wounded and evacuated on July 7, 1944; later that month, he was formally transferred to the care of a naval hospital.
