Charles Barr was a member of Charlie Company's headquarters section. He served as one of the company drivers.
Barr was promoted to corporal in the spring of 1944, and went on to see action on Saipan. He was wounded on July 25 while fighting on Tinian, and was evacauted. Barr did not return to the company.
Charles Barr died in Los Angeles in 1993.
