Rifleman George Boisvert joined Charlie Company in the fall of 1944. He served with one of the rifle platoons until wounded during the battle of Iwo Jima in March, 1945.
After the war, Boisvert married Anna Mastellar; they settled in North Carolina and raised a family. He died of cancer in 2000.
