Raymond Bouthillette joined Charlie Company on July 12, 1944. He had been a member of the Casual Company of the Second Marine Division, and was one of the replacements intended to build the company up to fighting strength for the invasion of Tinian.
Bouthillette was evacuated from Tinian on July 31, 1944; he had fallen seriously ill. He did not return to the company.
