With Dog Company:
PFC Aubrey Bowles was one of the original members of Dog Company. He served as an ammunition carrier in the Third Machine Gun Platoon.
Bowles participated in the battle of Namur, and was transferred to Charlie Company in March, 1944.
With Charlie Company:
Bowles retained his positon as an ammo carrier with Charlie Company's machine gun platoon. He was wounded and evacuated from Saipan on June 16, 1944, only days after his twentieth birthday. Bowles did not return to the battalion.
Aubrey Bowles died in Pennsylvania in 1990.
