With Dog Company:
Milford Carbino was one of the original members of Dog Company. He served as one of the company's jeep drivers during the battle of Namur.
Carbino was transferred to Charlie Company in March, 1944.
With Charlie Company:
PFC Carbino served as a messenger with Charlie Comapany during the battle of Saipan.
He was mortally wounded on July 13, as the company returned to bivouack positions. Carbino was evacuated, but died aboard a hospital ship on July 15, 1944.
Milford Carbino was buried in the Marine Cemetery on Kwajalein. After the war, he was reinterred in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Section C, Site 758.
