Jackson Carrington was one of the original members of Charlie Company. He served as a BAR gunner in the battles of Namur and Saipan.

Carrington was wounded and evacuated from Saipan on June 23, 1944. He was transferred to Naval Hospital #10 in July of that year, and did not return to the battalion.
