With Dog Company:
Carrozzo served as an ammunition carrier with Dog Company's 3rd Platoon. He participated in the battle of Namur, and was transferred to Charlie Company in the spring of 1944.
With Charlie Company:
Carrozzo was promoted to corporal during the spring of 1944, and was assigned to the "duty section" of Charlie Company's headquarters.
He was killed in action during the battle of Saipan on June 17, 1944. Carrozzo was buried in Plot 3, Row 1, Grave 406 of the Fourth Marine Division Cemetery.
