Joseph Cardinal served as one of the Field Musics of the battalion Headquarters Company from the summer of 1943 through February, 1944.
After participating in the battle of Namur, Cardinal was transferred to the Transit Center of the Fifth Amphibious Corps on February 27, 1944. He did not return to the battalion.
