With Dog Company:

Allen Cline was one of the original members of Dog Company, 24th Marines. He served as an ammunition carrier with the 81mm mortar platoon during the battle of Namur, and transferred to the Battalion HQ company in March, 1944.

With HQ Company:

PFC Cline continued to serve with the mortar platoon, and saw action on Saipan, Tinian, and Iwo Jima. He survived the war unwounded, and died in Illinois in 2004.

Cline is buried in Southside Cemetery, Clayton, Illinois.
