With Dog Company:
Private First Class Thomas Davenport was one of the original members of Dog Company, 24th Marines. He served with the company headquartes in the dual role of cobbler and mech quartermaster.
Davenport saw action during the battle of Namur, and was transferred to the battalion headquarters company in March, 1944.
With HQ Company:
Upon reassignment to the Battalion headquarters, Davenport was promoted to the rank of corporal. He particpated in the Marianas campaign, and left the battalion in the fall of 1944.
