With Dog Company:
Billy Reynolds was one of the original members of Dog Company, 24th Marines. He served as a gunner with the 81mm mortar platoon during the battle of Namur, and transferred to the battalion's headquarters company in the spring of 1944.
With HQ Company:
Reynolds continued to serve with the mortars following his transfer. He fought through each of the division's campaigns, and survived the war unwounded, attaining the rank of corporal.
